Our NY bartending courses provide a 40 hour, hands-on experience in a real working environment. We believe that by exposing our students to a diversity of drinks and by challenging them to work one-on-one with our instructors, our students achieve a well rounded and balanced education. Our goal is to provide our students with ample experience, preparing them for future bartending jobs. You will be exposed to a wide variety of drinks, styles and techniques. Classes are taught by professional, NY State licensed instructors who provide so much more than just teaching. APB draws its instructors from professional bartenders who "moonlight" for us. Making a Difference

Do You Really Need a Bartending License?

Actually, there is no such thing as a bartending license. You can however, obtain bartending certification in mixology. These can only be issued by state licensed bartending schools. This ensures you are receiving the highest in quality education. It also protects the students rights.

A reputable licensed bartending school is a terrific start in pursuing a bartending career. You gain the necessary skill sets, learn the proper bartending techniques and train on real barroom equipment. Then follow up with free lifetime job placement assistance and refresher courses.

Most states do not require that you have a bartending license or certification. But many establishments require such training before hiring you. The days of on the job training are over. Quality bartender training is the quintessence for obtaining and successfully keeping that bartending job. Although this course is designed to teach you the art of drink preperation, knowledge that will surely come in handy, not everyone who takes this class wants to get certified. Some just want the knowledge. Others though may want to go on to become certified. APB certification is the first step to a successful career in the world of mixology. Many employers require this certification from applicants as it is the equivalent of six months experience and demonstrates a commitment to learn and apply ones self. Whether you want to get certified or not, this class is one you will be glad you took. Do your homework when investing your money in a bartending school.
